Most of our guests meet us on a day tour. Some come back for something slower — a week built around one table, one question, one family history. These are our signature journeys: private, led by people who have spent their lives inside the subject, and kept small enough that nobody travels at the back of the group. We run only two of them a month, because they take time to do properly.
This is for you if
- You've done the big trips and you're after depth this time, not coverage.
- You'd rather spend a whole evening at one family's table than an hour at three viewpoints.
- You want an expert beside you for the whole journey, not an audio guide in your ear.
- You're travelling with people you chose — a partner, family, close friends — and want the trip built around them.
This is probably not for you if
- You want to see five countries in six days.
- You're mainly after nightlife and a checklist of landmarks.
- A set departure date already fits your plans — our small-group tours will serve you better, at a fraction of the price.
The Balkans History Journey
A 7-day study-group-style journey with a resident historian, from Sarajevo to the southern monasteries.
SarajevoVišegradMostarTrebinjethe southern monasteries
Two nights in every place, never one — history needs the second evening.
The same historian is at your side from the first coffee to the last border — someone who has spent twenty years teaching this period, and lives inside it still.

Herzegovina & Montenegro Agrotourism Circuit
A private circuit through family estates and boutique stays, led by a food anthropologist.

Mornings on the road, long afternoons at the table — dinner is the itinerary.
Led by a food anthropologist who grew up between these two kitchens and knows which family opens their cellar in which month.

Custom Family Heritage Trip
A bespoke route built around your family's roots, at whatever pace suits you.
The pace is yours — some families want two villages in a week, others want one afternoon in one courtyard.
We start with whatever you have — a surname, a town, a photograph — and do the archive work before you arrive.

How a signature journey gets built
A brief call
We listen first. What you've travelled before, what was missing, who is coming, and what you want this to feel like when it's over.
A proposed itinerary
Within a week you have a first draft — the route, the stays, the expert who'll lead it, the pacing — with honest notes on what we'd leave out and why.
Two rounds of refinement
We shape it together until it's right — swap a town, slow a day down, add a table. Then we confirm the dates and run it ourselves.
These journeys begin with a conversation, not a booking form.
